Calm Is Not Simply Found,

It Is Crafted

True stillness doesn't happen by chance—it is something you create through courage and self-discovery. At Crafted Calm Therapy, we partner with you to transform chaos into clarity, one intentional step at a time. Together, we move through the noise of life to help you shape a sense of inner quiet that is both sustainable and uniquely yours.

About Crafted Calm Therapy

To me, the most rewarding part of life is the process of intentional creation. I value the patience and skill required to build something meaningful whether that be a hand crafted piece of furniture, or a life you can look back at and be proud of. I founded Crafted Calm Therapy on the belief that peace isn’t a lucky find—it’s something we build with our own hands through deliberate effort and the use of the right tools.

Therapy, much like working with raw materials in the shop, involves looking at the complex parts of our lives and deciding how to shape them into something functional and resilient. As your guide in this process, I provide the perspective and professional tools needed to help you develop effective, long-term solutions. It is a powerful experience to see a client recognize their own capability and realize they have the power to build a life defined by clarity and purpose.

Since graduating with my Master of Social Work from the University of Utah in 2015, I have worked across a wide spectrum of care, from wilderness therapy to community-based clinics. Most notably, I served as the clinical director of a residential OCD program, which deepened my expertise in treating complex anxiety and OCD through the use of Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). I am BTTI certified in the treatment of OCD, and I have extensive experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including ASD and ADHD. My approach is rooted in helping you understand your unique brain-wiring so you can craft a life that truly works for you.

I am also a firm believer that as a therapist I am responsible to practice what I preach. A large part of a well rounded person is finding things that bring calm and joy into your life, and making time for those things. Because of this when I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me in my woodshop, mountain biking, hiking, or paddleboarding. Most importantly, I cherish time spent with my wife, my daughter, and our family dog, Maverick.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is ERP

ERP is a specialized, active approach to therapy where we work together to gradually face the thoughts and situations that trigger your anxiety without relying on the repetitive behaviors or compulsions that keep you feeling stuck.

Is ERP Scary

ERP can be uncomfortable, but I work with clients to meet them where they stand. As the client you are the captain of the ship and have the ability and the responsibility to let me know what stretches you, while also letting me know if it is too much.

What if I have tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

I can’t promise a “magic bullet,” but I will work hard to understand your situation and try new strategies to help.

Are you currently accepting new clients?

Yes! I am currently accepting new patients for virtual telehealth appointments. Please contact me for availability.

Do you currently provide in person therapy sessions?

Unfortunately I am currently not able to do in person therapy appointments. This is something that I hope to be able to change in the near future.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I accept the following insurance plans:

  • Select Health

  • PEHP

  • Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Aetna

  • Cigna

  • Oscar

  • Oxford

  • United Health Care

I have a loved one who struggles with OCD, Anxiety, ADHD, and/or ASD, are you able to meet with me and help me know how best to support them?

In most situations the answer is YES, as long as the client is okay with you joining a session to discuss what they need/want for you. I am a firm believer that supporting clients starts at home.
